Title: "Copy Tags" and Keywords in IS ?
Post by: pixsol on June 08, 2014, 09:01
I have been trying to correct/fine tune my keywords in IS. When I try to edit an image, other than the standard tabs "Keywords" and "Detailed Categories" a third tab "Copy Tags" appears. If I select the tab, I see a list of keywords and it appears that it is the list post disambiguation. BUT, there is a button "update" that appears at the end of the keywords. Could anyone please tell me:
1. What are these "Copy Tags" and why do they appear only during "Edit" ?
2. What is the purpose of the "update" button in the "Copy Tags" tab ?

Thanks in advance for any responses :)

Are you using Deepmeta? They make it soooo easy to do that. This iStock website submission process is excruciatingly slow and complex.

The copy tags means you can copy your tags between one image and another/others.
(But make sure you check them to make sure they're all relevant to the new images).
1. I'm not sure when else they'd be useful.
2. If you add or remove any more keywords to/from copy tags, updating puts these words into your keyword list ready for disambiguating.

Yes Striving. I just started using DeepMeta. Since I am using it new, I was trying to check if the updates (especially the order of keywords) are getting into IS. It was then I stumbled upon this "Copy Tags" and the update button. Since they were new to me, I am trying to check if someone may have any answers :)

Thanks Sue ! this clarifies that my updates to the keywords (via Deep Meta) are fine. Thanks for the clarity :)
