I'm about to submit a property release for a drawing I did back in the 1990s. I do note that Getty will only accept release forms whose dates match the exif data on images. Of course this shouldn't be applicable to this particular submission since it's a drawing and not a photo taken with a digital camera. However, on the Getty property release, it says to include the shoot date under the photographer / filmmaker section. Should I put down the date that the drawing was made (in the early 90s) or the date when it was scanned (which would have been in the 2000s or later)? If I put down the date that I made the drawing, Ive got a feeling that I might get a rejection because it doesn't match the date of the scanning (when the file was created.) That would be ridiculous because I'm trying to be honest about when the artwork was created (when I did the drawing on paper) which would be the equivalent to the shoot date.
