This ad-hominem attack doesn't do you any good, especially when you criticize others, with disdain, for doing the same.
that place was a cess pit, everyone was rude under the guise of 'just honest critique', it was not, it was a place full of bigheads seeing it as an oportunity to completely trash anyone with a subpar photo. the place was not to help people but to put people down,

Fair enough, I support the right for people to have different views and opinions.
But just because you don't care about Getty finances, the number of artists and images, or that the biggest gain in income came from Subscriptions, doesn't mean that other people here don't care?
What would be not boring on a forum about Microstock?
By the way... MicrostockGroup is an independant forum for professional microstock photographers, illustrators and videographers. Discuss agency news, reviews, earnings and share tips and tricks with other artists that's what the meta tag for this forum says.

I haven't been on the forum as long as others - but I can't understand the attack on Uncle Pete either.

troll friend or 2nd account for stoker2014, hasn't been on in a year, then shows when stoker is posting his nonsense. Sound familiar?
you will find that you will get your account suspended instead. agencies have lurkers on here and they just kill your port if they have the slightest idea who you are. ask a few on here, fotolia was notorious for that, in particular matt, who now works for adobe. istock does the same. rinder had his istock account deleted when they found him boasting on here. jo ann and others were banned from fotolia. i am sure there are more examples, people who were rioting against istock with the google deal, fotolia with dollar club. etc. best take this as advice or a warning

I hadn't actually realized that Getty was a free-standing company with listed shares (I knew that about Shutterstock).

We downtrodden, underpaid contributing photographers could save our pennies and buy shares in these companies, and make money on both ends. However, the problem with stock market investments is that the senior managers of corporations often get away with overpaying themselves, so you could be both a photographer and a shareholder owner of these companies, and still get the short end of the stick.

With Getty stock, I suspect you would only end up losing money in the market. At least with photos, you only end up losing time uploading.
