Title: accepted but not "published"?
Post by: Danybot on October 22, 2018, 22:29
A peculiar thing has happened.   Two of my photos that were marked as accepted about a week ago have not shown up in my portfolio.  I notice now that the typical notation is accepted/published, while these two languish with just "accepted" beside them.

Has anybody else encountered this?

Yes, I have contacted them now.  It appears that this is a known problem.  When you go to the "contact" page, they have a ready-made form for "accepted but not published."  They just ask you to fill in the file IDs.

One would think that with modern computer software that kind of thing should not happen.

Yebbut this is Getty we're talking about. They've been tech-challenged at least since I started in 2007, though how much of the historic issues were due to the existing iS framework, I couldn't speculate. But with ESP, it's all their own doing.

I would imagine ESP is sitting on top of software going back to the sixties ;-)

Yes, I have 5 images that were uploaded about a month ago through DeepMeta. They were accepted within a day of upload indicated by both DeepMeta and the esp site. However, they never appeared in the portfolio.

Last Monday, I used the form on the esp site to let them know the problem, listing the numbers of each image. Still waiting.

FYI, there's a possibility that this is a DeepMeta problem as it was a known issue with them.

Checking istock again this morning, I see that all 5 images have been added to the portfolio.
