We did get plenty of advance warning about the broad strokes of this, if not the exact detail. The sales info is moving off the iS site, but allegedly will be better, if later. Hmm.

First the forums, now the stats. Do you think they'll eventually just phase out the istock site altogether and just roll it all into Getty?

The stats are going onto extra-sensory perception, apparently.  ;)

I've long stopped trying to second guess them. It's always been worse than I imagined so far, and I see no reason to assume that will change.

I always use this to view all my sales... far easier than anything else.
just login to istock and use the following link:

Right, but that does not show the outstanding balance. I have been over the "threshold" for payout for MONTHS and they have not paid me, and now I cannot even see the number. I think I'll start deleting my port, this is insane.

The outstanding balance is the account balance on the financials tab. Strange that you've not been paid, have you checked the payment information tab or did you ever go through the tax interview?

Actually, I have always been paid a little more than the balance in the past few months. The stats really do not reflect what one has sold. Getty is a very confusing place, I must say.

This is an absolute disgrace and puts my entire financial and stats keeping operation up the creek. I have never seen anything run so poorly as iStock over the years.

This is the second time that page is linked to, and that is all fine, but:

- How do I find it as a link on the iStock page?
- These exact statistics were available on the "Stat" page when I clicked on my user name, top right on their page. Why on earth would they remove it from there while keeping it somewhere else? (Rhetoric question, like most questions about iStock, since they don't have an answer anyway.)

It's a temporary measure until they move it over to ESP.
But honestly no-one knows this stuff here. I doubt if many people over there know: the admins don't always know what's going on and a LOT of sensible/important questions go totally unanswered.

And there we can agree 100%. CCS, ESP, RCT, ASA, Unification. They speak in acronyms and corporate symbolic double talk. Maybe in 2017 they will introduce the secret decoder book? I honestly don't know what ESP is other then psychics and perception.

probably - there will be no  sales on istock in future - so there is no need for information about amount earned

That would be my guess.

They did announce that earnings and statistics would be disappearing.  I must admit I hoped they wouldn't do it, but they have.  There is an earnings figure on the financials page, but that appears out of date.  They also haven't credited Getty earnings for November to that number.  So basically I have no idea how much I earned in December.

They claim there will be a new system operational.  However Getty has never provided real time stats to contributors - just a printed monthly statement.  I have zero expectation that they will provide anything meaningful.

I must say that I thought the worst might be behind us for iStock, but it's clear they care nothing about their suppliers.  Presumably we'll all have to wait a month to see what 'statement' they provide at the end of January, and only then will I actually be aware of exactly how much I earned in December.

How extraordinary.

Today all financial data were disappeared!!! I hope this is temporary but still we shouldn't HOPE about such things, we should have been notified in a clear manner well in advance...

Does iStock have a spokesman in this forum???

unbelievable, all account financial info has gone. As (for some of us) this is our main income and we have responsibilities for accounting, and tax, not to mention knowing what income we get.
If i don't get a good response back from them within a few days, IS goes on the back burner.

Shocking really ...but I'm not surprised at all......

I noticed it too and am hoping it's a temporary lapse while they change their systems

With a total blackout of financials, this is a real opportunity for a money grab.  Who would ever know except for them? I am certain there is a system of accountability that they see, but hiding that from contributors is so suspect that it breeds deeper mistrust. Knowing they are chin deep in debt makes it easy to draw conclusions as to why they decided to hide financial reporting and not some other feature we don't use very often.  "Trust us, we'll fix it later" has zero credibility with me.

People keep saying they can see their total earnings but for me there is nothing. Nada. I don't get it. Seriously thinking of leaving.

They had total earnings on the finance tab but that now is gone for me too. So I have ZERO visibility to my sales, other than the briefcase to see what images sold.

Briefcase shows nothing since Dec 23rd unless there is nothing. Financials and total are gone, I can't see anything. I downloaded the CSV and it doesn't seem to have updated anything since the 23rd. Downloaded with DM, no change.

If I'm understanding right on the IS forum, we won't get anything until Feb 1st. I hope I'm wrong, but that means data and earnings blackout for a month.

I know it won't change what I get or what sells, but I still like to know. About the only happy moment I expect is the day they go live and I get one months sales in one day.

With the new program and commissions and potential for 2c subs, I'd like to see what's going on, instead of being in the dark for a month?

I'm starting to admire the people who left last month for the piece of mind they can have knowing they aren't getting this reem job from getty.
