^^ FWIW, I only have a handful or released images, all from a minilypse in 2007, so I don't think not having them is a reason for rejection.

I do know that iS looks for totally different things than SS. I see people saying SS is rejecting a lot of their iS best-sellers, particularly for shallow dof or highish ISO. That would be 90% of my port, as I shoot wildlife and editorial, which normally needs one or the other, and in Scotland, normally both.

So... you are getting flagged because you only shoot in one very saturated/popular field and not in another. Or you get flagged because you said you are happy to be non-exclusive.

Yeah, that sounds reasonable that an agency sends out people to investigate who said something about something in forums across the internet before having a look if their images match their standards...

I see... How is called such iStock employee who is watching what other people says on their and other forums? Istock investigator? Istock Eye? Istock Detective? Lol... There was some form of such thing in last century - they called them GESTAPO ;-) Yup... I lurked now with very much of pleasure!

There is much more lurking around than you can imagine.
Its called "Market Intelligence".

Gestapo (Geheime Stats Polizei) is not a relevant comparison, though there is a lot of secret police or government espionage going on, its harnessed in rules of law, whereas the industrial espionage, market intelligence, is not and can often operate outside of the law and always operates for a profit.
So look for the profit and see if its relevant to do "market intelligence" on you, and you will find out that it isnt.
Not for a few dollars worth of downloads.
So... you are probably over-analyzing and over-intrepretating and over-estimating.
I know, because I did it, we observed little things, and single persons posts and articles.
But that was in a 100 million dollars environment.
