This may have been discussed earlier but I could not find an answer (on MSG) with search.
Am I supposed to attach a picture of the model to the release before scanning to a JPG file?

Best to do it that way.

You don't need to, but you can. I guess it's good practice to shoot the model holding up the MR, in case of future issues, but again, it's not compulsory. Also, it must be a help if you're shooting a lot of people, in case you forget who's who in the future.

I always do. I use the Getty release, even though I no longer upload to Getty. For nudes I use the model's ID as the picture; otherwise I crop a head shot from one of the photos from the session. Either way, it takes a minute or so and keeps things organized.
I know some photographers take a photo of the model holding her ID. I suppose it doesn't hurt, but I haven't felt the need. A legible photo of the ID alone has sufficed so far.

No, it is optional.

Thanks all. I'm sending it without the picture. Wondering now if the MR has to be approved before I attach it to an image?
