Title: daily sales stats?
Post by: txking on June 10, 2017, 11:19
any way to see what your daily sales stats are or sales per image? helps me figure out what's selling, and what's wasting my time and now I can't seem to figure it out.

There was talk at some point of them providing some kind of "real time" reporting...but I don't think anyone is holding their breath on when/if this might happen.

IStock/Getty has never moved forward, only backwards.

Yes, the stats are for the previous month. And some for the month before the previous. So on the 20th of June a contributor will know what sold in April-May.

The changes in reporting happened at the beginning of the year and had been discussed ad nauseam on this forum for half a year before they took place and a couple of months after. It is what it is. On the positive side, the information is now more detailed than what iStock used to provide before.

well, the stats give the same amount as they send. So unless they are skimming, I'd presume they are accurate.

There often seem quite a few "corrections" later. I don't think they are deliberately misleading but I do doubt their competence...we just have to live with it or go.

yes stock /getty sucks ....but stock/getty is the only agency in micro who is growing steadily since january together with ss

the rest falling down included adobe and dreamtime. id prefer adobe paying me 15% but selling like istock is doing since the merging.

Shutterstock and Adobe/Fotolia report the sales in real time, so it is possible to do it.
Many sites don't report in real time, but they update the total earnings several times a day.
Some others like 123RF do it one time a day.

I don't understand why it is so difficult for iStock/Getty (a so greeeeat* company) to do that, why they need up to 50 days to report our sales?
The only answer that I find is that for them it is a way to fraud us, for example keeping the money in bank for one month and stealing our interests.

*so greeedy

Of course it is possible. iStock used to report sales in real time in the 'good old days'.
They choose not to do so now. Part of their 'excuse' is that unlike SS and FT where you get a flat rate for each sub sale, they give a percentage; so they need to wait until a client has used up their subscription period to be able to calculate what you got for each sale.

And since IS has changed  their format while I was hospitalized for five months I can't even get on to find out what I might have made. I have my new "name: ( a number) and I am and trying to access through Deep Meta V3 but  not too successfully.
