I have received a whole bunch of mass notices from CN members who are deleting their Creative Networks on Istock.  A sign of the times I guess.

Is this a good idea?  I never use my CN anymore.  Haven't in a couple of years.  But I've been hesitant to delete it because there may be buyers who use it to find my images.   Although with sales the way they've been, maybe not.

Has anyone else been receiving an unusual number of these CN deletion notices?  Is there any reason for any of us to be keeping our CN - pardon me - "friends list" anymore?

I think IS plan to remove it soon anyway, as part of the cleanup.

Yes, yesterday I got it as well.
Btw, iS  just banned my account so some people here may have one less person on list ;)

Oh, now it's called your "friends".

Thanks for the info.  That would be perfectly fine by me.  It's totally outlived its usefulness.

Sort of like friends on Facebook. It used to be called the Creative network.

I don't seem to have any notifications - still the 25 unseeable sitemails from which I'm banned, but not from the past few days.

yes.  I have had two so far. But something seems to be triggering it other than the eventual goings away with it unless the person doing it was one who had a BOAT LOAD of creative connections (the person who disabled me had hundreds) and then the panic set in amongst those hundreds...of which we were likely connected with a handful of those hundreds.

The majority of people deleting networks seem to be inspectors in my case anyway...

Good point, but it's going away anyhow I thought, so what's the big deal? I wonder if there's some "other" unknown logic behind it.

It may be because views by people in your CN are counted, and 'may' (?) be instrumental in pushing files down the best match (I haven't checked this theory).
Whatever, downloads are guaranteed to do it (1-10 dls). Many others besides me have noted and reported this.
