Not bad considering December and RPD of a little over $2 for photos and video combined which is higher than last month.

After low November, December is my BME with RPD of 0.85!

What helped a lot was one 9 dollar video sale (I have only 10 videos in my port)

and one 8 dollar photo sale of heavy machinery in Garzweiler surface mine in Germany - that one is not surprising, since there has been a lot happening around there,
and it has been in the news all over the world. I only regret that I didnt upload more photos, because around a year ago I visited Lutzerath and made few exciting expeditions to the edge of the mine, where I had to literally hide and escape from security guys in a jeeps.

Worst Dec since 2006, which was my first two weeks on iS, for both dl numbers and rpd.
(Nov was my best month of the Year, because of hitting the jackpot of a high-value sale.)

Aso lowest annual earnings since 2006, which was a two-week year (because I started uploading in mid-Dec of that year)

A good Dec, making the earnings from iS higher than SS for 2022.

December wasn't bad, second best month in 2022. Overall a good month - Similar to SS and better than Adobe.
However, earnings were still 35% down compared to December 2021.

Less than half of December 2021 with the same amount of downloads. But last December was my best month in 2021 - way above average.

Garbage.

Pretty well covers it, but on a personal note, less money for the year, than 2018 but better than the last three years. So either I did something right, IS improved, or it's some random fortune and next year will go back into the shitter again. Nothing to do but wait and watch.

My favorite subject of disgust: Connect Sales 2022
Earned 3.24 USD for 1620 sales
So low that software shows RPD as $0.00

Real number is $0.002 RPD

I'm pleased that total income is up and should know better than look at the irrelevant Connect Sales.

Yes. For....$1.47!
I thought they didn't pay out until $100 was in my account. I've never had such a small amount paid. It says it is for 2 x "Pictoright Collective Licensing Payback 2022 ", which I don't think I've seen before either.

But what is the median of these 127 sales? Did not one big sale make this RPD? The median is more interesting. To me at least. Split between photo and video.

Pretty sure I haven't heard of that either.  Looks like it's the Dutch version of DACS

Could they make the interface any more confusing? Please help me to understand.

I downloaded the txt file and converted it to Numbers. Most of columns are rows of $0.00000 but I found  the columns for gross earnings for US and non-US for December, and 15% of the total, came up with more than the 5 cents shown on my statement.

Last December I made $10+ although that's not accurate either. Looking just at the three online graphs,  each show an amount just over $10, but none of them add up to the same amount?

Is there a way to download this into Deep Meta? When I try the sync function it's not working and I upgraded to the latest version. I can't download any stats at all.

It's been nearly a year since I even looked at iStock (I got a $107 payment last January). (With 100 images and nothing new added in many years, I generally get a payment every 12-15, months, so I've just left the account open). Now that I've taken a closer look, I'd like to know why the numbers don't add up.

Can anyone explain how this works on iStock's end or direct me to an explanation? Thanks so much. And any help re: why using Sync in Deep Meta doesn't pull in my stats? Really appreciated

I also made a whopping 51 cents on Getty via 500px. They chose a handful of my photos a few years back and have keyworded them so poorly, it's surprising any get seen at all. I stopped uploading there when they did the Chinese deal and this month made $0.01 for a license to China. (I keep my 500px account open because sometimes when I've done gallery shows, they require a 500px account.)

I really don't see the point of adding anything new other than to Adobe, but perhaps I should start adding some editorial images to iStock? Any thoughts?

You're right. You have to go to ESP and download your own stats and upload them to DM, yourself.

1:  https://esp.gettyimages.com/
2:  Royalties
3:  EXPORT

4: Download File  (I have a directory that is iStock Commissions 2023 right now) The file is the regular sales.

Filename is going to be  202212-######-all.txt  which is YearMO-contributor-all.txt if you download connect txt it's going to be the same name, which is a nice tick?

You can also get the Connect Summary for half a year. I'm not familiar with that, just noting it exists below the monthly as a drop down.

DM has very nice charts and graphs. Todayis20.com also has nice data and is also easy to use.

The oldest file is October 2016, if you want, you'll need to download all the individual months and save them. They are all going to be "-all,txt" and there wasn't connect back then. Only one choice, don't think that something is missing. Connect didn't exist.

For DM you want the Connect Txt because there's an option for which to view, and that has everything. For today is 20 I only download the Transactions Txt without the connect, because I don't want the stats to be loaded with .002 downloads and a scary looking RPD of $0.00

DM - Lower Left STATEMENTS, upper right IMPORT and then since you made notes  ;), you'll have all your statements in one file folder, you can highlight all of them, and click OPEN and they will import into DM. After the first project, you'll just need to get the Connect data every month.

by the way, when I download I rename the connect file "-connect.txt" and leave the standard information as "-all.txt" Just so I know which one has all the data and which one is just the standard downloads data.

Good Luck

Easy version? Go to ESP, download Connect Txt for the month, open DM and import the file.
