FWIW:

December was my best month of 2021: 2.5% lower than last Dec, but 54% below Dec 2020.
Dec 2021 +123% on Nov 2021.

In 2021, iS was 5% up on 2020, in contrast to my Alamy net which was 15% down compared to 2020.
Of course, my 2021 earnings were only 23% of what I made in the heady days of 2012.

Finally, iS made me 2.57x of what Alamy made me in 2021, with about 10% fewer files, averaged over the year (I've been adding a bit to both sporadically, different files to each).

Yeah, second best month of the year for me... was quite surprised as December and January are usually my worst months.

I slowly keep uploading, but getting almost the same money every month since January 2021.

This was my third best month for 2021 and while not a great headline figure, it is pretty good considering I have a very small port - and earnings were 11x higher in December 2021 than December 2020. Given I seen the update on December downloads last week, inspired me to upload some of my recent and previous content to iStock/Getty over the weekend and earlier this week so hopefully will improve much more in 2022.

2nd best month of the year on IS, and first time IS and SS are virtually even for the year.  This is not due to IS rise, but SS decline.   AS, with smaller port, more than IS and SS combined for the year

November was already a very good month for me, but December even beats it. Best earnings within a month ever, which is awesome, because that saves my January which would otherwise be pretty  catastrophic because of really poor Shutterstock earnings despite a normal amount of sales. (And, not it's not just because of the level reset. I advanced in levels at the same rate as last year, but any bigger sales are just completely missing this month)

In addition to all the praise from others, I'll join you. I made the mistake of looking at the invoice. As always, no $30 with very bad RPD. Istock is still the taillight for me.

Yesterday I received my istock statement for December.

On istock, December 2021 was my best month since March 2017.
RPD was $1.33 which was exactly the same as Adobe.
For comparison: At shutterstock, the RPD in December was $0.66 - despite level 5.
For the first time, istock was in 2nd place for me after Adobe - well ahead of shutterstock.

Similar experience in that SS seems to be fading compared to AS and iS.

My experience is the other way around.
While Shutterstock is developing positively (also Alamy and Adobe), iStock is becoming less and less important for me and has now reached the level of 123rf.

AdobeStock    53.7
Shutterstock    52.8
iStock  26.8
Alamy    12.4
Dreamstime    6.1
123RF    5.6

In rounded numbers. IS is half of either of the top two, Al half of IS, DT and 123RF each about half of Alamy.  Add up the bottom four and you don't have what SS or AS make a month, on average.

Personally and we all have different interests and images, I made 6X more on Alamy than iStock in 2021.

Just checked my 2021 earnings (photos + videos):
- IStock: 24.18%
- ShutterStock: 20.14%
- AdobeStock: 17.42%
- Pond5: 9.46%
- Dreamstime: 4.81%
- Alamy: 2.54%

Actually IStock was my best agency in 2021 for the first time - seems my numbers are a little different...

What do the numbers 26.8 and 12.4 represent if Alamy made 6x more than iS?

I closed my account at istock nearly two years ago. There are still some connect sales.
December 21, two sales at Australia - licensee fee $9,32 each, one sale in China $0,14 and one sale at New York $0,55.
Net earnings at istock $2,9.

Two years!!! What is their excuse for that - do they claim they are resales? These seem to be allowed infinitely, though how often RF buyers should rebuy is moot - unless they are re-buying to avoid ELs, which I'm sure happens.
How often do you get paid?

In 2020 after closing my account i got paid every month, even $0.54. I wrote them thats annoying and they should make a donation for social purposes. So they spend my earnings every month.

I MADE is the part you missed? According to the survey here, IS makes roughly 3 times more, on average for other non-exclusive people.

Otherwise, yes, I have been guilty of modern math before.

Not at all; I didn't realise you were firstly quoting the poll results, which I tend to ignore!

Surprisingly good month on iStock indeed.
They were my best earning agency of the month, for the first time since I keep track of my earnings.
