Now that Microstockr Pro is pulling all the sold images details from the new ESP site, I can see which images sold and for how much in Jan/Feb. I was surprised to see some quite high priced sales - $40, $50 or so. Microstockr lets you click through to the underlying image on the agency and as the higher sales had a Getty watermark I clicked through to see the image on their site. For all images with the Getty (rather than iStock) watermark, I see the image is on the Getty site, but has a statement that it is a Restricted Asset and

Sorry, we are not able to license media #624967062 due to country, company and/or publication restrictions.

Here is one of those images: http://www.gettyimages.com/license/624967062

I had a good month on iStock in Jan and Feb with a number of these higher priced sales - makes you wonder if the integration into ESP released some of our images into a main Getty library and now they are being pulled back?

It's ludicrous and beggars belief - they have refused to reveal why they think that message is a good idea - but that's been happening for a couple of years now.

All iS content is available to Getty Premium Access buyers, fka Getty Plus, fka Getty 360. As you've discovered, some sales there can be for decent prices: but they can also net you under ten cents.

Anyone not in that scheme sees that inaccurate and rather worrying message without even a link to the iS page from where it can be purchased. Presumably they're hoping that our content will act as clickbait, and potential buyers will look for something else which they can buy on Getty.

Speaking personally, I don't like the implication that my content is legally dubious. The message should say "We made you click, but we won't sell it you you. Ha! Yanked your chain!"

Thanks! I didn't know it was an old problem. I was more worried initially that these sales would vanish going forward (and perhaps I was just lucky in Jan/Feb) so I'll just wait and see!

We've noticed sales on istock/getty through microstockr pro too... but, none of the files are available anymore. We aren't even able to search them through their search engine. As if they are removing our stuff from search engine.

AFAIK, files only available to Premium Access /G+ / G360 files were never searchable by anyone else on Getty, but could be clicked through to, as the OP did, and were/are Googable.
However, it is also true that exclusive files which get mirrored onto Getty can appear and disappear back and forward like a Karma Chameleon.
