Title: DeepMeta, two users
Post by: olandsfokus on November 14, 2014, 03:03
We are two contributors to iStock using the same computer. How can we get DeepMeta to work for both of us? There is an option tab in the top of DeepMeta but i canīt figure out how this can help. Anyone succeded with two users?

no way to use Deepmeta with two users

if you don't mind about wrong statistics, you can simply change user (but you need to upload one queue at a time)

if you use Windows 7 or above, you can install a second copy of Deepmeta in a Windows XP virtual machine

If each user has their own login for the computer then can they not each have their own installation of DeepMeta ?

There is a "work around": You can localize the DeepMeta folder on your computer (it should show in the "About DeepMeta" screen).

Now close DeepMeta, rename the folder from "DeepMeta" to "DeepMeta1". Start DeepMeta again and it will create a new "DeepMeta" folder. You can now set this one up for the second user.

Later you can close DeepMeta, rename the folder "DeepMeta" to "DeepMeta2" and then rename "DeepMeta1" to "DeepMeta" and start the program again. You are now back in your first account.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. Nice, there seems to be solutions for two contributors to use DeepMeta at the same computer. I will try to get it work. Thanks for your help. :)
