I've just unloaded several videos through DeepMeta3 and its much better than ESP because it shows embedded titles, keywords etc.

You still need to wade through the annoyance of "suggested keywords" but copy-paste of them to other files is much easier.

The whole interface just seems a lot nicer to use.

What's the big deal about batches?
Pro: you could get the pics showing as from same set.
Con: If you upload a batch which hits the database at a time when best match is penalising new files, you might effectively 'lose' these files forever, and it's not as though we can delete them an reupload them at a more favourable time, as we could before. Many people have historically split batches while uploading for that reason.

(Franky, I'm not getting at you, I see it's what iS is encouraging via ESP.)

Spliting baches improves sales, I tried it both ways and I know.

Another suggestion: Add a functionality to move a file from one batch to another one (could be quite practical when you notice that you were in the wrong batch after having refined all keywords)  :D

Hi Francky,

Thanks a lot for this update of DeepMeta. I like the interface even better than the version2 ! And I understand that the main drawbacks (batches, date, country, and no information on earnings) are not due to you.

Here's one small suggestion after using the new version of DeepMeta:

When working with a file, it would be nice to be able to delete a keyword in the rightmost column (under "Please refine..."). Sometimes it happens that one of my auto-loaded IPTC keywords is not relevant because I cannot find the right meaning in the vocabulary list offered by Getty. In this case, I have to let this keyword on the top, and continue working with the second keyword. Or I can click on the unwanted keyword and then delete it in the column on the left. But either way, it would be even faster to directly delete it from the column on the right  :)

Thanks Niko,

I pretty much agree with all your remarks. I hope to have a new update tomorrow. Thanks.

Been thinking about that too. I think it would also be useful for cases where you're forced to use multiple batches, because they can only contain 1 type. Say you have a shoot and took some pictures and footage. This will take 2 separate batches. Copying between them will be useful. Sharing releases as well, in fact.

What is the point of DeepMeta3 if we don't get login credentials? Bullsh*t!

My DM3 is empty - I can not see any of my active files nor my balance. I seem to be logged in correctly and if I upload and submit a photo it works fine, is everyone having the same issue?

And one more question about the keywords - there are many geographical names missing in the dictionary, it concerns most of my photos so I'm unable to use the most important tags, what can I do with it?

Maybe Franky could comment, many thanks

Hello Franky,
I have already used Deepmeta version 3 and successfully submitted 99 files (photos), but now when I click 'start upload' to submit other photos I get an error message 422 - Unprocessable entity.
Thanks in advance for your response/advice.

If you upgrade to the latest version, you'll get more accurate error messages. Been making lots of improvements there the last few days.

The new message you'll get for that situation is "Timeout".
I've increased the delay before such an error is given, but at a certain point you have to make the program stop trying something.

This typically means there's a bad network condition or the server is seeing lots of traffic.
Make sure to select the closest "Upload region" in DeepMeta preferences. The first release of DeepMeta 3 did not properly keep this setting, so you may want to check again.

For keywording to work, DeepMeta needs to login to contact the ESP server to get the vocabulary terms.
If you see your username at the bottom left of the DeepMeta window, you're logged in.

The latest version (3.0.3) will warn when you try to keyword without being logged in ... instead of waiting forever..

Upgrade to the latest version, and about the keyword mixed languages: here is the solution: (question N1)

I'm afraid I have no control over that. Hopefully you get this sorted out soon.

About the "emptiness": here's an explanation (item N8):
http://www.deepmeta.com/Support/FAQ/#N8

About geo names: make sure to use the latest version(s). From 3.0.2 onwards, keywords for which the Getty vocabulary has no matches now get transferred straight to the left hand "valid" column.

These are marked with an (*) asterisk, meaning that the term is not in the vocabulary. It is still searchable by buyers, but is not translated.

Language problem persists, no matter what you change at ESP. I'm fed up of trying to upload and to understand all these changes. Going out for a walk.

That's weird. The trick worked for everyone I told (= many ;) )
Are you sure you logged out and in again at ESP?
