What do you think the big secret is?

I think - mere speculation here - that it will be the launch of an editorial arm to the agency and that the attendees will get some cool photo ops with celebs.

It sounds like an exciting event and even though I'm an independant illustrator and only a gold - it is something I can't wait to hear about in the aftermath.

My curiosity has been piqued too. I have imagined it will be something along the lines of absorbing the exclusive diamonds fully into Getty. Only a guess though.

Looks like they'll be shooting at Getty studios. The actual schedule is still under wraps.

I didn't realize it alienated independant Diamonds. I just caught 'red carpet for Diamonds - since it is they who have propelled iStock', or something to that nature, and just assumed that meant all Diamonds.

Kind of explains what all the griping about paying the big ticket was about.

Sure changes what I thought was a class act.

Not a big problem anyway for me. I am not much of a traveler, and if I was Seattle wouldn't probably be one of my top 10 destinations

OK, now I'm really miffed

I don't live downtown, but the Seattle area is a great place to visit - in July or August. Don't come November - February, but then who'd leave Florida then anyway.

I can't go 'cause I'm not diamond, not exclusive and will be on the east coast at that time in August

Didn't realize Seattle was a great place to visit. All we hear about is the rain. Have enough of that in Florida, but at least have beaches and disney world to compensate on the sunny days...

Most of the time it is so light one does not have to curry an umbrella. A very nice and clean city.

Yes, apart of the rain I also heard it is a nice city. I must admit I know a guy from Seattle, so it is not so unusual to know about the rain. We were also halve seriously thinking about moving to Seattle in a couple of years, who knows
