Title: Does inspector change our file size?
Post by: Freedom on August 18, 2011, 00:14
Does inspector make our file size smaller to allow the image to pass inspection?

In other words, if the original file size was XXL, will an inspector make it XL or smaller so the image can pass inspection? Just curious.

No.

Inspectors don't change a thing about your file. If there is a problem they will send it back with an appropriate rejetion.

There's only one minor site doing that (reducing and accepting files). I noticed it recently but I can't remember which site it is - however, it's not Istock.

Recently I had a note from the inspector in the rejection asking me to downsize a file. I did, and it went through on resubmission.
