I was checking some keywords on my own files and found one of my tight animal portraits (cropped right into the face) with the word 'rear end'.
Thinking I must have had a blonde moment when uploading, I went in to correct it and found

So at least it wasn't my fault.
How on earth does this happen?

Oh man.  If the CV database is damaged, all bets are off.

It's been like that for a while, it's no more damaged than usual. I just shrug when I see stuff like that and move on (though I admit I did a double-take first time I saw that particular one.

I have blonde moments all the time, but even on my worst days, I can tell arses from eyes :)

The CV can't keep up with changes fast enough, can't be a comprehensive catalog of everything and everyone on the planet, and its complexity has apparently outstripped the ability of the geniuses maintaining it

Just goes to show you, sometimes you gotta have eyes in the back of your head, or in iStock's case, up your A55!   ;D

I find it annoying when I leave a keyword with no box ticked because they don't have the meaning I was after in the database, then I get a keyword rejection based on one of the meanings--- I didn't even tick!

Don't know if it's a bug ticking irrelevant boxes when you leave it blank or what

Oddly, when I search on gorilla eye, it actually works, even though the keyword on earch of the files I checked seem to be mapped to 'rear'.
Anyway, I chose 'human eye' - what's a girl to do?

Istock has a keywording forum, I'm sure they would fix that within a day or two if you post your concerns there or send a sitemail to the admin in charge of keywording.
I'm banned from the forum and from SM there.
In former times I was very active on the keywords forum (that's not why I was banned!)
Don't suggest CR - I asked them to pass on another couple of bizarre mappings to Duck on 31st Dec and it's still in my open tickets list.

Like the guy with a vision impairment trying ti hide it:

"See that cat coming into the room, it has only one eye"

"Errr, the cat is leaving the room"

Sue, I think that your ban is IS' loss and not yours. The amount of research you do, and valuable information you bring forward is remarkable, and it would help IS a great deal. Its their loss.
