Normally, I simply stay focused on my work and keep cranking out images for stock and other independent projects. I noticed that uploads are backing up in my pending file and image sales have come to a screeching halt. Anyone else experiencing the same? ???

I'm getting images inspected, but lots more than usual rejections. Haven't uploaded anything new since the big announcement and don't plan to for the time being.

Will you keep the 20% and if you do or not will keep your images there? I'm exclusive and I won't be uploading any vetta or ex+ there but all my other stuff will still keep going till feb. next year when I would hit gold. Sorry for you guys but don't keep your images there it hurts everyone less than 20% is just crazy. When I leave everything is coming with me.

I will definitely not come remotely close to keeping 20%. Supposedly Yuri has said even he won't. I will most likely drop to 18%, or with luck maybe 19%.
As of this minute I think it is way to early for any of us who rely on istock for a large portion of their income to make plans to remove entire portfolios.
I am not a great business mind, but the folks whose business experience I respect keep saying that the best response is to make buyers aware of what's happening. That sounds reasonable to me.
This is an evolving situation. Seems smart to keep options open.

I was just about to go exclusive, so, now I am dropped to 15%. I plan to leave what is in my portfolio there, for now. My stuff is still selling, so, that's better than nothing. I am planning to try other agencies. But, I have this general feeling of doom about the microstock field. I need to be finding other ways to make a living with my talents.
I've been doing a lot of photography (portraits, models, weddings and such), but I haven't pushed that part so much, preferring the creativity of stock. I am worried about that industry, and thinking I may need to refresh the other skills and compete with all of the mamarazzis.

I went exclusive within the last year or so because I would have a larger upload allotment. I am guessing that I will just stay put until I have built my portfolio until I hit my target # of images. At that point I will re-evaluate moving the entire portfolio vs. "down grading" to non-exclusive and spreading the port over multiple agencies.
I have no problem with a comp schedule that is based on recent sales data rather than extended historical data. However, after looking at the new Istock commission break points I must say that the company put the proverbial carrot a bit too far from the donkey's nose. So, while I build I will be hoping that the numbers persuade Istock's management to move the commission tiers in close enough for the us donkeys to get a taste of the carrot every now and then. ;D

No inspections for me but then I've removed my images from the que so that might have something to do with it. ;D

At the moment my thinking is along similar lines. Simply going back to non-exclusive makes no sense in the circumstances.
