Even i had  a few sales for less than 10cents. Not sure what iStock is selling my files for now

AFAIK, and they have not (so far) denied it, the PA buyers pay a premium, then get the files more cheaply, and the 'cheaper price' is what we get our percentage of, with them pocketing 100% of the premium. If that isn't the case, I'm sure they'd have been quick to point it out.

One video for 10 dollars, the other one, a 4k...for 68 cents....

Really depressing.

What's really depressing about this, is the fact that despite the low royalties, you're still selling your videos there.

I cannot delete what is already uploaded unless I close the account which I won't do out of nostalgia for all the good things the original istock gave me. It changed my life and set me free.

My average for video sales elsewhere is between 18-22 dollars for hd, more for 4k and occasionally a much higher license for some kind of special deal.

Nobody in the industry pays 68 cents, except Getty. At least I am not aware of anyone else.

80% of my video sales are from pond5 and SS, after that it is a mix of Fotolia, videoblocks, one sale at motion elements, a few at dreamstime.

But if stick to p5,ss and videoblocks that probably covers all that I need.

Video is at such an early stage, nearly everything still missing, so it has a long way to go.

ETA: I have around 300 videos on istock, everything else is photos.
