Is there anybody try IS Exclusive Estimate Bonus?

yep, i tried the exclusive estimator and I would make more submitting to all the sites, so that is what I do.

I am not sure I would be exclusive even if it did show that I would earn more on istock. I don't think i would go exclusive with any site unless i earned a LOT more than all the sites combined.

I agree with leaf ,despite all the benefits of being exlusive  it seems to be more reasonable to stay non-exclusive.

Submitting to just one site instead of 10 leaves more time for other things in life.

I tried it and like Leaf will continue to make more submitting to other sites.  Besides, the fact that you can't submit your rejects to any other site if you are an IS exclusive is a major turnoff for me.  Not to mention that whole "all-your-eggs-in-one-basket" thing.  Their site outages in September were a huge eye-opener.

Editing to say:  Oddly, IS seems to be down for me right now and has been for the past 20 minutes or so, illustrating my point for me.

Leaf is right.

Exclusive relationships don't pay as much as having multiple channels to promote your work. Have a look at this article titled "Learning From the Masters" on http://www.microstockdiaries.com/
According to Jack Hollingsworth (one of the most famous stock photographer), a tiny percentage of buyers cares about exclusivity. This means that contributing to just 1 agency will not affect your sales.

Best wishes,
diego

I have lost so many jobs due to bankruptcies, sale by owner etc. I would have a difficult time trusting a single agency.  Could you imagine if this was all you did and lost your sole source of income?  Sure you could then upload your port everywhere else, but that would be some big hit in income.

It takes longer to submit to istock than any other site.  With some of the other sites, I only have to click a couple of links and I am done.  I can upload while doing other things.  It would be a pain without broadband though.

I think it makes sense to consider exclusivity at IS only after you've reached diamond level (25,000 dls), when your commission would increase to 40%. My projections indicate that when I hit diamond I'll be earning about $5000 per month - if I went exclusive I'd take an immediate pay cut to $4000. That's a very significant difference, and one that I think only a part-time microstocker should be willing to make - the associated increase in 'non-microstock time' could be put towards other endeavors.

There was a guy that participated on the forums quite a bit a couple of years ago. His name is TacoJim at IS. He was adamant about being on as many different sites as possible and then when he reached the diamond level he changed his tune and went exclusive. Said that after a month or two, the extra money for being exclusive more than made up for the difference. It's funny how when people get successful enough, they always pick IS to go exclusive with...

... His name is TacoJim at IS ...

Looks like TacoJim is making about $48k per year (20000 dls in 8 months) by being exclusive at IS.

Two people here are in that club: kosmikkreeper recently indicated that he might consider exclusivity, but I don't think elenathewise is.

We hear a lot about IS exclusivity.  Anyone know of great success stories from exclusives on the other sites, the ones that don't require member exclusivity but have the per-picture exclusivity option? (e.g., DT & FT)  Does anyone know of any great earners in that situation, I mean submitters who are "self-imposed" exclusives even though they're not prohibited from being on other RF sites?   Just curious....
