I couldn't find the exclusive forum on istock this morning. Is it still there? Also, in the critique forum kelvinjay said that anyone with a camera could shoot animals and nature. I wonder if he has ever tried researching locations, lugging heavy  (and expensive) equipment and waiting for hours until the light is right or the wild life appears. True, this doesn't sell but that doesn't mean that it is easy!

It's still there, but it takes a long time (for me) before it comes up. Or anything this morning on IS, for that matter -- painfully slow. You do have to be logged in, of course, to see it. (EDIT: Looks like the slowness may be a local problem.)

kelvinjay is correct, though, that anyone with a camera (even a camera phone) can and does shoot animals and nature. And now that IS is no longer distinguishing between cr*p and decent images, it makes it pretty much impossible for new, good images to be found.

In so many ways, it's a lost cause.

He also says "Unless your work is absolutely outstanding"
Which is true.
Kelvin is very fair and helpful over there. Or at least that's how I've found him to be. He does tell it how he sees it though.
There would be little point in encouraging people to take yet more (and more, ad nauseam) general flower, animal, and "nature" shots.
Probably better to wait until there is something to be seen of the OP's shots over there, and then comment there.

@OP - the Exclusivity forum has been there all day, AFAIK. Have you been logged out? But as KB says, and is mentioned in the Help forum, forums have been very slow.

One could just as well say, "Anyone with the kit can shoot lifestyle" - there's a huge amount of competition in that field too, so work has to be exceptional to sell.
