Are you uploading clips on istock? And if you do how much do you get on selling a clip? (If there are any sales)

You get 15% which translates to 4-7 dollars for full hd.
So I only send them testshots that I sell for similar returns on pond5. They do have sales, but most of the people I know are avoiding them until they give us better royalties.

They ALL called themselves "artist friendly" at some point in their creative marketing campaigns to get you. 8)

I removed my footage clips, just left them 1. It was the hardest site to upload to, with lots of upload glitches, then they started selling less and less, then they cut from an already insulting 20% to 15%. That was the final straw for me.

I removed all my clips for sale after I had my first sale there for < $7 for an HD file (Oct '14). I don't think they've missed me.

Is it so? Or do they downsize 4K footage to HD and so you basically sell HD only, even when you upload 4K? I can't find any 4K videos on iStock, so I'm curious.

They do not differentiate pricing. If you upload 4k they pay the same commission whether a customer downloads 4k or 1080P. No matter how you slice it, uploading 4k nets you the same as a 1080P file, like $6-$7 bucks a clip. I have 750 new videos since I stopped uploading there that they will never see unless they change their video royal;ties.

$6-$7 what a shame. I have 600 4k videos sitting on ESP, but not submitting them at these conditions.

Does ESP refer to Cisco's Evolved Services Platform? I'm looking for a cloud type solution for 4k - pro-res distribution. (Fiber is not available where I live.) Thanks

I'm new to istock. I've been paid 3,60$ for 240p videos on Fotolia and more on Shutterstock. Does anyone get a 0,34$ royalty for a footage on istock? It's too low for a video regardless of the size.
