Is the information in the title an accurate assessment of iStock's royalty schedule for non-exclusive contributors? In other words, you make about 90 cents a video download?

Well, no, not totally accurate.
An Essentials video costs 6 credits, so it depends how much someone paid for the credits.
I can only see UK prices, so I can see 1 credit for 7 down to 1443 for 300 credits.
So that seems to be published prices between  7 down to 4.81 per credit.
However, big buyers can get big discounts off much larger bundles of credits, and a lot of my sales seem to be to these discounted buyers.
Also, if they do an offer, 15% off, 25% off, whatever, we share in that discount.

You'd have to check the dollar prices for yourself on the 'buy credits' page

All I can tell you is that as a non-exclusive, I make $6 to $8 a sale, full HD. I am considering killing my video on IS. They keep way too much of the pie.

I just rechecked - yeah, it's not a dollar per credit. At 15% it's about 6-9 dollars per sale at full HD. Thanks for the feedback on that.

I was (note the specific use of past tense) about $6 per download for HD. My account is now closed so I will no longer be privy to the information except through postings on sites like this.

They are keeping the same amount they always did(not always but for a while now), they just lowered the pricing didn't they?

Does it really matter? I used to get $23 commission and now i get $6-8. Thats a reduction to me of some significance. A result of their rc concoction six or so months ago.

I'm not saying it isn't significant,  just that your "slice of the pie" hasn't changed.

Mantis didn't say it changed either. His statement is just fact. Their cut is way too big.
