Title: Has Anyone Closed Their iStockphoto Account?
Post by: ScottishPhotographer on June 22, 2013, 04:57
I closed my iStockphoto account about 2 months ago and was advised that the balance of my earnings would be paid out after 30 days.

Well two months later my account is deactivated and I'm still waiting for a payment. I have sent two emails to iStock chasing this up however they have not replied.

I am just wondering if anyone else has closed their account with iStock and if so did they pay you what they owe you? If so how long did you have to wait? Or do iStock just have an unofficial policy that they don't need to bother paying quitting contributors and keep the money for their own profits?

If I have to wait much longer I think I may start seriously bad mouthing iStock and Gitty on Twitter and Facebook.

Oddly enough, their stated policy is that you must have $100 before you get a payout, but Lobo said categorically that closing members get paid their balance and I have read here that this is so.

Have you tried posting on their Help forum?

I closed my account in 2011. My balance was less than $100, they did pay after a few weeks.

Not sure what "about two months" later means but it might be that they are waiting for the PP money of May to roll in to the accounts first, there probably will also be some of it for your account.

Where did you send your email to?
