Do I need to apply for FTP access ? If not - then how can I do it ? Could someone please explain what do I need to do ?
Currently I use Filezilla for most of my uploads.

You don't (unless you are uploading video). It isn't available.

They have FTP for video content I believe, but not for images at this stage.
There is an offline file upload utility though, the name of which totally escapes me....
I just open multiple upload windows, and click 'submit' on all of them and walk away. I keyword them etc later on...

The utility is called DeepMeta, it seems to streamline the process to me.

In fact it does and it allows you to choose categories from a list within the software before the upload process. Much much more visual and easy to use than the iStock way.

This lack of FTP upload for images is the biggest reason IS is the last place we upload to.

Current image upload system is from the stone ages; Fred from the Flintstones wouldn't use anything so archaic.

Deep Meta is great - it's really a good way to deal with Istock. I still stink at getting images accepted there but it's not the lack of FTP at this point - it's the lack of approvals. lol
