Hi there!
I have recently added some of my best images to the Photo+ collection, which I had sincerely abandoned.
I Had 170 free slots and use 150 of them. In two weeks the royalties have risen considerably.

We'll see how it develops this theme from now on for 6 months in which these images have to be mandatory in the collection :)

Best!

It hasn't helped much for me.  My earnings with istock are still appalling, compared to a few years ago.  It looks like lots of the pay per download buyers have gone to SS.  Others have gone to subscriptions.

I suffered a few months with a significant drop in sales. But now it seems that things are back to normal and sales remain as ever, mainly due to increased royalties from the Partner Program :)

Could be wrong but I though the 6 months was how long before you could change the p+ selection??  I can't see any good reason for not using the full quota because it does make a difference...

Photo+,  seems to work for the lower cannisters but once youre up in diamond level, its status quo,  weird?

Where do you find info on Photo + Collection?

I don't think there is a "Collection" of Photo+
Here is info on the Photo+

Thanks.  I stumbled across it and added a few to see how it works.

I like it, however I wish there was a bigger price difference, just like e+ is compared to regular exclusive files (the difference has diminished somewhat not that XS files cost 3 cr)

For me it's a statistical difference (tiny port / tiny money) but, by picking the better sellers, seems to have added about 20% to overall earnings there....

It works very well if your + images are relatively unique and not easily duplicated by others. Most of my model shots don't work too well in +, they are obviously not unique enough.

March is not over yet, but has surpassed the previous BME.

I am enjoying Photo+ too, from the last 20 sales 13 are from that collection, that said I had a BME in March with 93 sales, max was on 77

It's definitely a plus!  Lord knows we needed one after all the negatives last year.

When I was exclusive to Istock I took advantage of the exclusive+ option, and these days I use about 1/3 my quota in photos+.

As was the case with exclusive+, photos+ works best with images that are niche. This was repeated in the forums countless times a few years ago, as we all noticed the same thing.

Don't add all of your quota at once. Add a handful, measure the results, and then add a few more. It's important that you get a feel for which photos work well in the + programs.

Works well for me.  Probably 70% or more of my sales come from my P+ files.  Makes a big difference in the bottom line.

Unfortunately, it still isn't enough to make up for the overall sales decline at IS.

I have my entire portfolio as P+. It does seem to help with the average return per sale and I never get the .10 or lower sales. Still it in no way makes up for what happened w/ IS in the last 2 years.

Exactly - max out your P+ quota (or not) and deactivate everything else. It might not be good for the bottom line in the short term, but it is good for the soul.

Does P+ keep images out of Thinkstock?

Is it brilliant? Has iStock ever chimed in on this in their forums? My guess is they would frown on it, and might do something about it if they thought it was "beating the system." Either way...I wouldn't advertise that you are doing this.  8)

I don't think they'd mind at all, they're always trying to up prices as much as possible ;)

Not me guv, I still think it's worth getting the odd file in there.   ::)  I suspect that the gentleman in question doesn't give a rat's ass if they take action if he's removed most of his port already so, in that context, I say again ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!

It already looks like you're the man, since no one else got a quota of 1/3 of the port ;)

What's depressing about that?  Your + files should be the best ones, looks like you chose well.

I don't control anything other than what I put into P+.  As I scroll through my daily DL's they are nearly all P+.....looking now and about 75/25.  What can I say? My old dear friend once had a saying...it is what it is.

Whenever I need photos for my projects. I always get from iStock because I love. Last week, I needed breastfeeding photo for my project. I went to iStockphoto.com and got it but at discounted rate because my friend told me about iStockphoto coupon code and I used it. I'm sharing it with you.
...
Now I've more love for iStockphoto after saving my money at it.
Glad you're happy, everyone loves a bargain; but perhaps it wasn't very tactful to come onto a forum for microstock photographers and rub our noses in it (we lose out if iStock decide to offer a discount).

Yeah, seriously.  Looks like "julieanderson" is a spam account.  For one thing, if that name was legit, she would have a better command of English than is evident in her comments:  "I always get from Istock because I love."

But she could be Swedish or something. Like Pamela Anderson, her roots are from Sweden (but her ancestors moved to the states and that makes it different).

Oh, you're right.  It's such a common name in the US that I forget it has roots in Sweden and Denmark.  Fair enough.  The post still seemed spammy though.

I agree ;) . I just wanted to point out the origin. She'd have to be called Pocahontas or Red Cloud or something similar to have American origin. All the other names are imported, along with yours ;)
