wow 15.50. Congrats.
What is Vetta? I am not with IS so I don't follow them much. I only know from the news here that Getty has killed hopes of making anything more than 30 cents ,etc with the postings of subs with IS and StockXpert. This does not sound like Getty , to shaft others with minimal commissions and than give 15.50 phenomenal commission at the same time. Can you please explain what really is going on in Getty's head?

Cheers,
matt

You can read all about Vetta at istock.

And I wouldn't take what is in these forums as gospel, an ever increasing amount of opinions and hyperbole

Actually it is .25 cents for non-exclusives.

Here's a good article about how well Getty treat their contributors
(somebody posted it in MSG - don't feel like looking for the thread):

I think you are confusing the new Vetta collection where images sell for 20 - 70 credits with the new subscription site photos.com.

Vetta only has exclusive content and we get our usual rate according to cannister.

Congrats on the download! We are all excited how well our files will do there, so far I have had two sales.

To the OP: Whoo-yay!  :D

I also had my first Vetta sale today, netting $6.20 from a small size download.
Considering that I only have four files in Vetta, I think that's pretty amazing.

Time will tell if this new venture pans out, but it does seem that buyers are willing to pay more than a few pennies for a higher quality product. Who knew  ;)

Yup, I've just had my first Vetta sale, a small for $7. Interesting, because on the three most likely searches for that image, a 'similar' of mine is very near in the best match search; in fact, they're both on the top line on 'more like this'. Intriguing.

You mean a similar non-Vetta (i.e. cheaper) image?
That would say something about price sensitivity of (at least some) customers...

Interesting indeed.  I hope the Vetta collection is successful.  Maybe it will convince the rest of the industry that customers are not all so very price sensitive and the race to the bottom is not necessary.

Yes, the other is non-Vetta. Not the same, but pretty similar.

Agree with the others here: only time will tell if the Vetta Collection concept will be successful.

And if positive perhaps will foster the whole MS industry to create several exclusive collections.

Bye!

Absolutely. At least give contributors a viable and workable alternative. With most of the top sites pushing commissions lower (lately even Dreamstime, sic) , I wish Vetta succeed. Exclusiveness is something I am looking at more these days.
