In March I had a (single) TS sale for $24,02. That happened only once though. But another time I had one for $1,83. So its mainly but not always 28 cents.

I just checked, for May I had 22 PP downloads for 11.48 dollar. Thats 52 cent per download. I dont know how the PP works, but that is tempting Luis.

you don't know how it works? I know very well each agency I work with, anyway subs sell at TS for 28 cents each

I think the PP program includes Photos.com?  If so, those sell for more than 28 cents.

not questioning that, I had an EL at the PP once for over 25$, just saying the lowest/usual is 28 cents

I am impressed depressed with TS ( I mean PP)

I can only speak for my own numbers. I am sure long time IS contributors think differently about the PP program.

When the PP program started, my sales at iStock dropped. But when the PP data came in the following month, I made more $ overall than I would have with just iStock. It's actually the reason I started uploading to iStock again.

As angry as I am with their incompetence, for me it's about money. If they get the PP data going correctly again, I'll start uploading there again. I make more per DL there that I do at Shutterstock, but I have a much larger port at SS because they accept more of my work and uploading is much easier.

Yes, I have exactly the same 102 images on both sites (about 14% of my iS portfolio)

What about the nano-stock scheme they were working on?  I don't want to see $0.01 or whatever miniscule amount it would be from my best images.  And they can do more deals like the Google one, virtually giving my images away.  That's why they only have my low selling images now and I haven't uploaded for months.

If they had opt outs or at least gave us time to remove our images if they were going to do a deal as bad as the Google one again, I might think they were worth the risk but the thought of that tedious upload to potentially get ripped off again isn't appealing at the moment.

I am impressed with TS.

TS with 33 images gives me the same number of downloads per month as CanStockPhoto with 30 times more images.

Can you imagine if I uploaded my complete portfolio to IS, just to get them on TS.

Its so tempting.
By feeding the subs site you are making your images more available and thus decreasing the chance of selling on symbiostock.

In my experience, you're only increasing your exposure and audience. I never noticed any decrease in sales due to my images being available elsewhere. Some customers still buy the higher priced versions on one site, other customers buy the cheap subscription version on another site.

I cant be bothered to know it all Louis, there is nothing I can change or do about it. I just upload and let the money do the talking.

sorry but haven't you said a few days ago that we needed to change how/where we submit and think before complaining about the state of this industry? I really don't think that submitting at iStock will help

Seriously, you and SC need to stop twisting my words. I am not submitting to IS. I have said that 4 times now.

You said you know all agencies you submit too, I said I dont, I just upload and let the money do the talking. That wasnt about IS, but in general. I know you, so go and check my port on IS and see if I am lying.

Yeah, but if you and SC keep twisting my words, I need to set it straight. Dont I? I hate people twisting words, trying to make someone look bad with fallacies.

All I said was that I am impressed with the results of PP and according to you and SC I am now uploading 900 images.

I don't know about SC, Ron, but Luis loves baiting people.  It seemed pretty clear to me, from the title, that you were talking about iS only in passing -- The Subject is TS and PP

I get more than 40c for a sub.  There are lots of different rates for different types of sales.  http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule

I thought exclusives weren't included in PP anymore?

I think existing material from exclusives in the PP can stay there, but no new stuff is being sent for the moment.

I had that feeling too but looking at their forum (unless there is a new announcement I haven't seen)

How does this affect the Partner Program?
It doesn't. Non-exclusives will still have all of their files mirrored there and exclusive contributors will still be able to choose whether to opt into the program or not.

So?  You have a choice to become exclusive or close your IS account if you don't like PP.  ;D
It's part of the game, take it or leave it. As Simple As That
