Title: Increased upload limits......
Post by: hatman12 on June 13, 2007, 19:58
"A formidable effort by the inspection team, now at well over 80 members and counting, is bringing a change in upload limits for non-exclusives today. Here they are:

Base: 20
Bronze: 25
Silver: 30
Gold : 35
Diamond: 40

Upload limits for exclusive contributors remain the same at:

Bronze: 60
Silver: 90
Gold: 120
Diamond: 180

As usual, preferred inspection for exclusive contributors remains a priority. Thank you so very much indeed to all contributors of iStock, from all involved... on all levels. "

Well, with only 13,000 images in the queue, only three days pending and new upload limits, iStock are suddenly introducing a new level of competition into the microstock field - they sell the most, now it looks as if they want to process the most and attract the most.

I should think the new search engine, and all these further developments will lead to a further price increase at the end of the year.  Would be nice to see another 20% hike and a larger hike for 'small images' which I think are priced too low.

I uploaded photos yesterday, and they are getting accepted/rejected today.  Yippee?  Not bad I say

I think when I started, last July, I could upload 30 photos a week.  I have moved up a level and can now only upload 25 a week.  This might just be a seasonal thing.  Photographers take more holidays in the summer and don't upload as much, so istock can raise the amount they review for those that submit.

My downloads with istock have been realy bad so far this month.  Sutterstock is still doing well and stockxpert are making gains on istock.  I am making progress on all the other sites but istock is over 30% down on my best month.

IStock has been relatively pretty ok for me, and I do see some fluctuations in sales some times, could be various reasons.

Anyway, the increase in upload limit is a piece of good news for me, now, I need to find time to process my images ;).

cheers.
