Title: iptc workaround

i started a new thread to make it more visible :)

ok, after more than a month of it not reading iptc I thought I'd look in the IS forum (yep, I move pretty darn quick when there is a problem LOL)

anyways someone has posted that they upload their images, go to the pending and see no description etc then they go to the forum and here's the killer... when they go back to the pending list all the keywords etc are there for each image??? 

I tried it and really works! :)

(feel like I should be writing now pass this on to 7.3 other people in the next 44 seconds and will have good luck etc etc).

anyway its dumb but it works :)

I noticed the same thing with a few from my last batch and then totally forgot about it for this batch, so I retyped everything.  Memory must be going.

My files uploaded with ProStockMaster are keeping their IPTC data but now there is a new problem - the Allow Prints and Allow Subscriptions boxes are unchecked. Weird ???

It working fine for me...............  once the photo is loaded and it is asking you the 4 questions....you know the ones.....no, no, no, yes  :)       just click on the Upload link on the left side of the page......then click on edit next to the picture of the photo you just uploaded......check the four questions and continue...........walla........the data is there..............not sure why.......but it's there....

Their software engineers probably used to work for a casino before they joined IS. I'm sure it's supposed to be part of the excitement being a contributor there. Free entertainment. What more can you possibly ask for   ::)
