Seems the figures at Contributor Charts have increased a bit since 2008 when I did this last. How much will it change in another couple of months?

In a different thread the topic came up about users, new users and number of users. Rather than do a complete hijack, I posted it here for discussion.
Point? I'm not sure that a bunch of numbers have any point. Just for the record, number of contributors increasing year after year. New users per year may be tapering off?
If the figures are valid, 2006 to 2009 new members run about 7500 a year, which might be interesting because that's how many people joined the four years before 2006.
If the charts are right and people are leaving, eventually the number for each year should change and drop, because they have left the database. So far nothing but going up!
Just can't wait for January and see if the new contributors in 2011 is really going to be about 200? Is that right? Oh boy...
Anyone have numbers for any of the other sites? Has the flood stopped or is this IS only?

I don't have any opinion one way or the other.
It is also interesting to see how many contributors have stopped contributing for over a year. Do you have any stats for it?

Race, got your PM. I understand it is not easy.
The reason I asked is because some of my friends stopped uploading after submitting less than 10 images. Many have never uploaded more than 300, though I am going to check the chart myself.

Total contributors: 37619
Contributors with less than 10 images: 9112 (starting from position #28507). 37619-28507=9112
Most inactive members have joined for more than 1 year.
However, I believe many of the newly accepted contributors will be active. The acceptance standard is higher now, I assume the new members will have to be reasonably good to be accepted.
