Title: IS site down
Post by: NancyCWalker on November 02, 2008, 11:02
I just tried to log in to IS but the site hangs until it errors out. I'm not having this issue with any other site. Anyone else having an this issue?

I'm wondering if they confused "Cancel Exclusivity" with "Cancel Account"

Whatever the issue was it seems to have corrected itself. Now if I could just find my images in a search.  ::)

After 2 years as an exclusive I couldn't take the favoritism and other antics anymore.

Independance Day Oct 14, 2008.

Still giving me an error message.

Maybe it's because I'm not an exclusive  :-)

Still down for me today, Sunday 2:30 pm US central time. Haven't been able to sign on since late last night.  I can get to the Istockphoto homepage with no problem, but I can't log-in.

Me too. I've been on several times today without any problems and have gotten sales. Must be because I'm exclusive.

Yep, down here too - I was right in the middle of adding some keywords when a window popped up saying "can no longer communicate with the server - please try again later". Tried to refresh the page and now it won't load at all.

Seriously, it feels like iStock is slowly falling to pieces, little by little. There's always something on the site that doesn't work properly. Shame really, as despite their recent blunders (best match anyone?), it's still my favourite stock site.

I was unable to bring up the site the first try a few minutes ago.  Just tried again and got the site, but incredibly slow and every other screen is an error message.

The saddest thing is that it isn't even surprising that istock is borderline unusable during the busiest month of the year.  Same thing happened last year and in 2006.

Slow and stripping all data from uploads. I agree, the site feels clunkier and clunkier the more time goes by. Reminds me of what happens when a pride in ownership group is bought out by a pride in the bottom dollar group.
