Title: IS unlicensed usage only for exclusive
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on October 21, 2019, 23:30
I see the online form on IS to report unlicensed usage is only for exclusive content. I understand why they would do that if the source is unknown. But I've found a few of my videos all on the same YT channel with IS/Getty watermarks still on them, so obviously lifted from their site. Is there anyway to report those to IS or do I need to deal with that on my own? I've had YT channels taken down before due to copyright strikes but the process is annoying.

I can't think what you can do other than post about it on their forum and hope that the moderator has a good suggestion. Good luck.

You could also try reporting it as a 'general' concern. Even as an exclusive that's what I'd do as the unreported use requires you to wait for three months to see if the sale gets reported which is irrelevant in contexts like watermarked use, an editorial file being used commercially, or some thieving site offering the image for free.
You'd think they didn't want to have to chase up misuses  ::) :o :-\ ::)

Not a clue on IS but in other agency terms that i read carefully, Previews download and usage are having specific terms. Previews as content of the agency's site. Guess that applies to all watermarked content, exclusive or not. It is property of the agency's website.
