80% of my rejection due to keyword issue!

All the keyword shold reflect in the photo and no association like background,clean,green....

I have to be used to this big change.

can you please put a thumbnail of some of rejections and keywords that you used?
did you read the article regarding keywording on istock? (i am pretty sure that one of the main reasons that istock is most successful micro stock site is their kwd. policy/search machine)
are there some other reason for rejections (what i noticed while i was not exclusive is that if you have one or two keywords that does not match image - and everything else is o.k. with image - inspectors just removed bad kwds and image would be online.)
**since "strict kwd. announce" i have had rejected up to 5 images with kwd. reason. (so - believe me "less is more" - does make sense on istock).

It's tough love, but I'm glad you got one of the stricter-for-keywords inspectors. (Some of them are far too lax). It'll start you off with good habits. If you'd ever been embarrassed by showing someone iStock, then when they did a search the results were so bad they called their coworkers over for a laugh, you'd become a keywords fundamentalist in a millisecond.
Like Dr Bouz says, you could post examples here.
iStock has a very helpful keywords forum too.

I only put 5 keywords on new submissions. Once files are accepted, I put more...

And that is exactly why there is still a problem. If the keywords were relevant then you wouldn't have any problem putting them straight up!!

but just one rejection for keywords when if you could just pick one keyword for the image it would be the one they rejected it for and you feel it is necessary to resort to this sort of nonsense. Of course when you stop uploading to them suddenly the keyword worries go away.

Better being strict then too lame or spamming will be the result. My only bone is that a few more conceptual keywords should be allowed.

The following keywords used for this file do not appear to be fully relevant to the subject.

{[ Ceremonial Makeup (Face Paint), Stage Makeup (Face Paint)]}

i just got this image accepted, with these two kwds rejected. the reason i put these images on the first place is that on serbo-coratian language makeup (noun -objects related to theme) and (verb -action-to do something) are the same. -but from this rejection, i can see that disambiguated terms ceremonial and stage makeup are obviously about objects and not acting. and i do have no intention to change (to add) more keywords on this image now when it is accepted. i think that's not o.k.
