Title: Istock and E+
Post by: danielsbfoto on June 28, 2013, 12:22
Hello,
Changes at Istock...May I'm loosing something. I can't find the E+ list in my port. Is this compromise gone with the wind too...
If someone found it.

E+ is gone. There are now four collections: Main (cheapest); Signature, Signature + and Vetta (aka Editor's Pick). There's also a placeholder for a Value Bin, which doesn't seem to exist yet.
Files have been moved between collections in a way that at first was indicated as being according to sales, but now the moderators are admitting they don't actually know how the allocations were made.

The easiest way to see where your files are is to go to My Uploads and choose a collection to look through:

Note that although Signature + is the equivalent of E+, if you're anything like the rest of us, your files will have gone up and down and your old E+ is unlikely to be very like your new S+.

Finally, if you don't get the Contributor Newletters, it might be worth conacting Contributor Relations, if you are opted in for them but don't get them.

Thanks for your help Shadysue,
I have just a Main collection in my port, no more. If I'm not confused opt in the E+ mean blocked those files.
This matter is working yet ?... I will check again the newsletter. (Sorry English is not my native language and sometimes I loose some concepts)
Thank you again!

Are you an iStock exclusive?
If you are independent, you had some files which were P+. For the moment, these are all in the Main collection, but apparently/allegedly that's going to change soon.

and your next shock will be that prices in the Main collection have been slashed:

At least for me "Value Bin" exists not only as a place holder, as it contains about 10% of my portfolio - as has the "Dollar Bin" before...

Oh, could you tell me the pricing for the Value Bin - I wondered how it differs from Main collection pricing, which is from 1 - 7 credits?

It looks as if my Value Bin files are live with the same pricing as the main collection.

What is the point of that?
Insanity. (Same old, same old).
I've got plenty demoted to Main, some of which I'll get round to deactivating, but nothing (yet?) in the Value Bin.

The "value bin" is meant to default into PP, I'm not sure that exclusive files in Main do that.

Oh, right. I didn't know about that.
