Title: istock images are available for getty images?
Post by: mtkang on April 15, 2011, 11:40
Hi guys,

I know istock is owned by getty images now, for non-exclusive contributors, will our images are available in getty images for sale?

or only those in Vetta or Agency collections will be available for getty images?

I also notice that opt-in 'partner program' means it will be available for 'getty images partner sites', does it mean it will be available for getty?

thanks.

In a word, no. Not through iStock anyway.

Via the partner program you have access to Thinkstock (http://www.thinkstockphotos.com/) and photos.com (http://www.photos.com/). I'm waiting for them to put vectors on clipart.com (http://www.clipart.com/en/), a below-the-lowest-of-the-low clipart site, but for whatever reason they haven't done that yet.

Exclusives have access to the iStockExclusive and iStockVector collections (old; pre-Vetta/Agency) and Vetta & Agency on Getty. Some have Getty contracts as well and submit via the Getty portal with content not available on iStock.
