Don't be silly. They posted it on Facebook. Why would they post it on iStock?  ;)

Turns out yesterday was a Canadian holiday that they forgot to put on the payout schedule.

I looked in FB and could not find any mention of the late PayPal payment, only a link back to the IS Help thread. Not a word there from anybody at HQ even Lobo has been silent.

It was in a group, not on their page.  I don't know why they don't put it somewhere obvious.

I have my payment. As it was a US holiday (for some) yesterday I didn't worry about no payment. Just assumed IS had the day off

It is beyond silly that they can't get out in front of these types of things-they've heard over and over how important we think it is...

They've heard, but do they care?  Nope.

Lobo:
This wasn't present on the Calendar so it would have caught everyone off guard.
On Monday Canadians observed Remembrance Day. We normally don't delay payments for this specific long weekend, but we did this year. The fact that this wasn't present on the Calendar lead us to believe payments would be delivered as shown in the PDF. Well that PDF stinks

That seems ridiculously random. Seems like there was a foul up at the payout dept and Remembrance Day was a convenient scapegoat.

Ha! I envision the admins at IS pointing their fingers at the PDF payout schedule and saying, "Bad bad PDF file! How dare you not include all the holidays that we want to take off!"
Yup, it's that stupid PDF's fault, isn't it?
Just another TOTALLY unprofessional faux pas by a once-great company. Very sad.

Could it be that the person in charge of payout was let go?

It seems Istock has laid off a number of people lately, including Alysia, the woman in CR. I don't know if they also reduced the number of inspectors because I think the queue is getting long again.

I didn't know there had been more layoffs in Calgary. I knew MichaelJay had left the Berlin office (did they close the Berlin office completely?).

The queue is at 91,600 which is pretty big

That is over double what it was a few weeks back.

[Idle speculation below:]

I didn't know MichaelJay had left the Berlin office. He was very much a company man, but I'm sure he was one of us whose downloads were falling and made a 'terse' comment on one of the monthly sales threads.
Maybe he had an insight into the internal workings and wanted no part of it.
Or maybe he just got a better job.
I don't know if the Berlin office has closed. I just looked at the 'Contact Us' page, and if I were a buyer it seems I have a UK phone number, whereas I thought that all Europe phone calls were answered from Germany (?). Hmmm, logged in or logged out, I only have that UK number available, no access to the Calgary number. Oh, I guess it could be a UK number but redirect to Germany.
In the Careers Section, jobs are only listed for Calgary, New York, and Seattle
