Hi,

in the last hour I got 2 e mails from istock saying:

"Dear Contributor,

The following file(s) were recently licensed to an iStock customer in a transaction that did not occur through the website:

xxxxx

We have made an adjustment to your account and added your royalty from the license(s), which totals xxx

Sincerely,
The iStock Team"

(presently obviously 7 purchases didn't show up.)

Anyone else??  8)

Same here, one photo which was licensed outside of their website. Weird, to say the least.

Two emails here as well.

I'm wondering how a transaction can occur outside of the website? ???

It's something they've never chosen to explain adequately.

However, in this case, the wrong email was sent out. Check their forum.

I never signed up for their new forum. Not interested.

visiting istock forum was such an utterly infuriating experience, I never signed up for the new forum either.

I got the emails too.  Was nice to have some royalty adjustments in my favor for once.

Like many others, I never bothered trying to find or use their new forums.  Would someone in the know want to share the revelations?  I don't see a reason to drive traffic to their site.

I got one too......when I read the title of "Royalty adjustment " I feared the worst. Maybe there will be some more...time to tell the butler to put the champers on ice with another 72c on the way maybe

The message in this e-mail was an error. These were actually adjustments to subscriptions from June.

I'm not sure they were subs since I got one mail with just one picture but with 0.72$, I get 0.28$ for subs so I think it can't be it. I doubt they paid me more because they felt sorry for mistake. But it was from June since that picture got accepted on 20th June.

Did that picture sell as a sub in June? The .72 is a 'bonus' meaning the sub plan should have paid you $1 not the $.28 you normally get. IS has been giving us this 'bonus' money as ambiguous money after the subs all get reported for several months now. This e-mail basically was making it not so ambiguous but actually telling us which images sold for more than the minimum sub price (which in my case is also 28 cents). I had four images get a 72 cent bonus, each of which gave me a 28 cent sale in June.

It was sold as sub, 12 times, plus Thinkstock sub downloads. But I thought that all subs are paid .28, I don't get that 'bonus' thing.

A few months back (I don't remember when), IS sent an e-mail saying that they were trying out smaller subscription plans that would give contributors more than the low base rates. They pay the difference between regular sub plans and these higher-priced sub plans at the end of the month. Usually you can't link the 'extra' to the image. Today's e-mail was actually a glitch that ended up allowing contributors to do that. If you want more info, you'll have to take the time to look it up.

Yes, I too.
How can they see our images if they don't connect to the website?
