Title: iStock moving rastered drawings to illustration categories

A fellow contributor just noticed that iStock has started to move rastered images into the Illustration product line if they are mainly a photo taken from a hand drawing:

I asked for digital illustrations to be taken out of 'photos' years ago, and was correctly reminded that there are many images which are composites of photos and digital illustration, so where would they go? And probably mixes with 3D too. That would just be defining the 'fuzzy border' However, moving the very obvious digital illustrations out of 'photos' is a good way to go.

I totally agree that Vectors need to be in their own category.

Yes. Unfortunately it was announced in the Illustration forum which probably many photographers do not read regularly, so they are surprised now...  ;)
