Isn't it odd if not blatantly rude to us that we have to go an extra step at iS to view our data? I can't be the only one to be annoyed by the the home page change.
-
Yep, pretty annoying. Wish they'd spent that time/money/effort attracting more buyers.

I very seldom go to the home page, but handsome is as handsome does. so :P

It's also rough on a desktop...looks good enough on mobile. Kind of an issue with a lot of responsive sites is the elements are awkwardly large on desktops. And why aren't the videos mobile ready yet?

Hm. So they change something on the front end which makes it a bit more complicated for contributors (like "oh my god, now I have to bookmark the my_uploads page in my browser") but which is obviously aimed at making the side more attractive to buyers. But you complain like this was made with the only goal to make it hard for you to get to your data...

Still the slowest site on Earth.

More attractive to buyers who do their designs on their mobile phones rather than desktop screens, I suppose.

... and late copy of standard layout.

I like it 50% ! The search bar is too huge. Its very annoying for contributor to go to our account. I don't like when it's « sign in / join » should be Log In instead.

Just bookmark http://www.istockphoto.com/user_view.php?id= (http://www.istockphoto.com/user_view.php?id=)[youruserid] and you're done.
About the search bar: bigger is better, because that makes it clear where potential buyers can enter a search query.

I don't judge. I don't even really care. I'm just saying: People are demanding that iStock does more to attract buyers - but when iStock does, they come up complaining because they have to make a new bookmark. Or speaking of that: Who made their bookmarks on the homepage anyways? So, basically: People complain because they feel the need to complain. Not for reasons. Okay, not news, I know.

If it attracts buyers and gets me more sales then I'm not complaining :-)

1. How does it make it more attractive to buyers? On my iPad I see a huge pixelated image (can't tell what it is) with a horsey search box, and the page slides all over the place when I go to sign in, and now takes an extra step whether I'm a buyer or seller (I'm both).
2. Why snark at me and not the OP? I was just agreeing.

I'm hoping Getty has woken up and realized they're now in the 21st century. Perhaps we're seeing the early stages of web changes that will ultimately offer contributors a direct home page with all the information we seek....and a multi-photo and video upload system that's just a click away and doesn't rely on third party entities. Their current system, one they've relied on since day one is old and antiquated. Period.

I don't really care at all on anyone's webpage just increase our sales 8)

Anyone else notice the iStock logo is blurry on the desktop at full screen on the new front page now?

You're right. That logo is blurry. These people at iStock can't do anything well.
