I can get onto the main site page, but can't login or access the forums at the moment. I get a 503 error page. Anyone else experiencing the same? I don't see any announcement about it on their Twitter page either.

Yes, for about 40 minutes now.  Some are getting 503 pages, some blank pages, some "Server Error" pages, on all browsers, and at least a couple of us have gotten in momentarily only to get kicked out again after a minute.  Currently I'm not able to get in at all.

Yup.  Getting 503's here, too.  Nothing on their Twitter feed.  Hopefully the cleaners didn't unplug something.  8)

Perhaps the hamsters needed a break from running inside the wheel. Either that or maybe someone was eating pies too close to the main server and now it is FUBARED? :o  ???  :-\

lol, good one.
although with my insurance it'll be down to just $250 (for the excess). and I didn't do it, my 8yo did it, although I probably should have been more careful with an 8yo in the room.
