Just wondering if there is any way to get the uploader program to read the tagged JPEG data because its a real pain to continuously have to re-put it in.
Otherwise, I guess I have to stick with what I'm doing.

It reads it fine for me except for keywords which dont have commas (therefore being picked up as one keyword). Title and description work fine.

I've no problem with my uploads. All data entered in PS CS2 file info fields. IS reads all of this. All I need do is tweak the "what does this mean" keyword box, add categories and it's done.
How are you entering your IPTC data?

I use Photoshop and/or Microsoft Photo Info (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B038D4B5-1D88-437C-9F54-1FB0D210B5EF&displaylang=en) to do the job.

I also have the Microsoft Photo Info Tool, perhaps I should check the settings or something because it never pops up with the information in it. It takes soooo much longer.

last i checked, IS web upload was not properly reading my IPTC data (i input via Aperture on the mac)... it would get the keywords but not the title.
the Aperture upload tool will not read the title either. I wrote the author and he said that the IS team told him to use different fields for the title etc than all the other stock sites are using. I think it is a big mistake but it seems like i'm the only one who complained. To me it was just one more example of how difficult they make it for their suppliers to upload to them.

I use the Photo Info tool and IS almost never picks up the description and about 10% of the time misses the keywords. I use the one-file-at-a-time upload (painful) and keep another site open in a window so I can cut & paste the missing info. It always picks up the title field.

Well it would be really nice for iStock to get something easier to work with, but I really don't see the point especially since they keep rejecting everything now. I had a really good streak going where I would get images accepted, but now I guess they brought on some really grumpy inspectors and they just reject everything (which is a continuation from my other thread where they weren't taking into consideration the situation that the photo was taken).
Oh well....next batch
