Alright then. How much would you charge for someone to use one of your photos for a day?

$200 for every nanosecond  :P

I say every contributor should combine and put this agency out of its misery otherwise a day will come when every agency will follow suit and none of us will make anything.
That's fallen on deaf ears for a decade now.  I'd like to know how bad they can get before enough contributors ditch them to put them out of their misery.  It's years since my camels back was broken :)

good question, got me thinking...

a photo is not like a sandwich, where if you share it between 100 people, there is nothing left. ShadySue sounds about right. If it's a "temporary" use, the number of people who see it should be a multiplier. Just like in an art museum, everyone pays for his own ticket, no "wholesale" discount.

Isn't that RM?

A time-restricted use is RM, albeit in this case a peanuts-paying RM.

Basically, iStock has created micro-RM.

I wonder how well these time-limited uses are policed.  ::) ::) We certainly can't do it with the monthly reporting.

Hard to be sure how they could even go about it.

Of course it's going to pay peanuts. But if it means that a customer was not going to spend anything on my pix is now going to spend something, then that is extra income.

A problem shared with RF and traditional RM.
