Just found something funny. If you type istuck into Goggle there's a sponsored link to iStockphoto.com at the top of the results page.

Edit. Just noticed there's a Dreamstime link too LOL.

The strangest thing that's happened with a search result for me is that I Googled my own name and a paid ad for DT came up.
Anyone else?

Here's the search I've used for years because it gives better results than Google. (honest!) What it does is search the other search engines and sorts those results. Kind of a best of the best.

http://www.metacrawler.com/

Try it and see. The second reason is when I searched for my own name or one of the websites that I managed under a different name, I didn't even come up on the first page of Google. WHAT? But I did on Metacrawler. It told me that simple matching relevant results for things I was looking for, were missing from Google.

Here's some of the boilerplate: MetaCrawler.com utilizes metasearch technology to compile results from many of the Web's major search properties, delivering more relevant and comprehensive results every time you search.

Sponsored results are always clearly identified with a "Sponsored" or similar designation and will be located in the upper section of the page while organic results will be filtered into the section below sponsored results and labeled with the web results designation.

ps istuck came up with just that and not IS 8 of 10: iStuck Bubble Gum Phone Stand

Thanks for posting the www.metacrawler.com link, RacePhoto.
Yes, it is useful, but I forgot about it over the years. (brings back memories of dogpile.com, askjeeves...)

Yes, I'm a throwback. I never dropped it in all these years of the "next hot search" Have it on the front page of my personal website and on the links toolbar of my browsers. You are right, it was Dogpile and metacrawler go bought by Infospace, there are a few that are the same company and search. I just like that name.  ;) It's from the days of dialup before most of us had DSL.
