Post by: ismailciydem on February 28, 2015, 21:14
Hello my masters! You know ı am new on iStockphoto. I wonder why people add my images to their lightbox? What is goal? Thank you.

The primary purpose of a lightbox is to let a designer collect a set of images that might work for their project. Some contributors (in the past) used them to organize sets of their own work which they could refer buyers to.

I understand it but contributors are adding my images to their collection. Your answer is not my question's answer, sorry :)

Contributors may add other people's images to their lightboxes because a lightbox can only be made public if it contains images from more than 5 different contributors. Or perhaps your images were added because it fits the lightbox theme, and a big lightbox containing relevant images could be attractive for customers (so the lightbox creator's own images would be getting exposure as well).
