Title: May 2023 Earnings
Post by: Pacesetter on June 15, 2023, 17:03
Well that's an early arrival. Second best month with an RPD of $2.08 for photos and video combined.

Considering about 112 video licences sold in May (and 30+ images) it's really not a great result overall. Would think video sales would bring up the RPD more.

22.58, one of the lowest in years. The video sales for 1-6 cents are depressing.

I have agencies with 400 files that sell better than istock with over 4000. On the other hand it is amazing to see how some very, very old files and not my best work, still earn money. Sometimes very good money.

Let us see what happens next month.

Low RPD of 0.46, but still a decent month for me. Environmental stuff, cityscapes, technology, food...
I made 2 video sales (only around 10 vids in total in my port).
The most surprising sale was a photo of me wearing a pig mask that I originally bought for dutch carnaval years ago.

Thanks to one high-value sale, a good month for me, but I'm worried in case that high sale won't stick and might be refunded, as I had an enquiry this week to see if I could provide the file in a larger size, and I can't. (I'm assuming it's the same customer, but I don't know that for a fact). Otherwise the month is 'OK by current standards for my portfolio'.
