Title: Money for nothing?
Post by: roboz on October 24, 2012, 18:57
Hi Folks,

Over the last week or so my account balance is growing, but my number of downloads is still the same (in the overall statistic). Although one new file appears to have a download without a view. I won't complain as long as the money is coming in, but still, I don't understand why.

Anyone with an idea?

Regards

Rob

Yes. It's a credit card sale, which aren't showing in any stats other than your balance.
It's a bug, one of many, since they introduced CC sales six or more weeks ago.

I agree with Sue,

I posted in this IS thread about a Grease Monkey script that will show what images are sold via CC.

Thanks for the answers.

I guess, Fotolia has this kind of bug, too. I have several images there with more downloads than views.

But as long as I get the money, I don't care  :)

My account has jumped from $120 to 1,275,49 overnight. I can see no evidence of huge sales. Still the same.

What shall I do ?

That's a huge jump. Check that it isn't a set of extended licenses and if not, contact CR asap. Although contributors aren't supposed to phone (Lobo said 'no exceptions'), there were some 'suspicious' activities noted last weekend, and admin oldladybird said, "We would encourage anyone who is seeing highly abnormal activity in their account to use the toll free number and alert the Client (sic) Relations team.
