More than a week for approvals

(1/1)

Albert L:
I have been waiting for approvals for a few pictures for over 1 week.  Does this happen often at Istock?

leaf:
I think so.

I don't actually even bother keeping track anymore.  I just upload and then try to forget about them....

shutterstock on the other hand, have the reviews usually done within the hour (in the last couple weeks anyhow)
They were as bad as shutterstock, but hired on a few more people.. now they are one of the best.

Striker77s:
I have over 50 images waiting for approval on Istockphoto.  Is isn't unusual to take a couple of weeks to get them approved.   Which is slow for microstocks.  But they don't have to worry about it because they are the most popular site.  Of course they probably give preference to those who are exclusive, which I am not.

leaf:
that about exclusivity is true.
I am curious how long it will be before they are not the most popular stock site.  Shutterstock is hot on their tail.  istock must have more users, and more of a 'community'... but shutterstock definatly has some things going for it.

fintastique:
I personally find ISP take 7-9 days to reject (I mean review) my photos.

With one exception when I dared to submit two scanned photos that had been accepted and downloaded at other sites and they were rejected the same day so presumably they have a seperate reviewing staff for scans.

I still laugh when photos that were rejected by one site get downloaded at another site they weren't so fussy, though I wish the "good" photos would sell as well.
