Nobody has mentioned it yet (I think) so I will:
The new category selection at Istock is sooooo much better than before!  Three categories from a predefined list compared to selecting a random number from a list that I believe contained more than 10,000 entries (I counted them once but forgot the exact number).
Going forward the upload limits will be the issue for me - not the hassle factor with uploading.  Now if disambig.. (can't even remember what it is called) could be made easier .....

Still, I am loving it.

Tina

Much easier indeed... for new images.  I haven't checked my old images, but I saw posts of people complaining about wrong conversions, and I don't look forward to checking all my images, even though they are about 170 only.  It bothers me that rom time to time IS is forcing us to go back and edit old images.  I can't imagine those who have hundreds of images...

Adelaide

Just went to upload my first image for a while, and my first reaction was 'What the f?' :)

I've not looked at any existing images, but this probably makes a mockery of all the effort people will have put in with the complex system that we worked with before.

I've got that 'here we go again' feeling...  I've not finished disambiguating my files yet, and I've got a small port. (And I'm lazy).  Do I have go go back again and check them all?  Hmmmm.

Just finished adding that image...

(I was editing the image when I posted the last reply, I came looking here to see if anyone else had vented about it...)

It's a cool interface for the job, works really well..

I'm still concerned for all the old images I'd selected things like 'outside' and 'Daytime' for as well as their primary classifications...  Are they now only under 'outside' 'daytime' 'natural light' ?  Hmmmm.  Will report back on that one.

I deciced to start checking new categories in my old images.

Does anyone know what the category "Description" stands for?

I have several images of cloth pieces - satin, jeans, etc.  The only reasonable category is "fashion".  The auto thing put also "Description" there.  I wonder why there is not simple thing such as "texture".

Hmm, is there "background"?  I gotta check it.

Adelaide
