Ok i will show 2 examples of the lowest subscription plan

Non-exclusive:

1 month, 35 eur -10 essentials images 10 x 0,28=you earn 2,80 USD (2,40 Eur aprox) and Istock earn 32,60 Eur

Exclusive, signature;

1 month, 85 eur -10 signature images 10 x 0,75=you earn 7,50 USD (6,50 Eur aprox) and Istock earn 78,50 Eur

Is this true??

Is like depositphotos... or worst...

Well, that part at least changes a bit with the Signature+ files. Based on the (limited) data I have, exclusives make more in the range of 1,20-1,50 per subscription download on average. If a customer only downloads Signature files, they would have to pay out maybe $15.

Then again, the Signature Subscription includes all Essential images as well, so you can assume it is more in the range of maybe $10-12. Highly profitable I'd say.

But you read the news, right? They need some cash urgently. ;)

This is so true and bitter truth, one subs sale get almost $0,25 or 0,75 for now, but formerly we earned almost $5-15 from one credit sale, subscription system is very badly affecting our profits.

10 s+ images would be 25 for the exclusive contributor. Even so, istock would keep 60 dollars, 71%. But S+ (in my case) are just one of every two downloads... and I have also some 0.34 essentials dls, probably bought with the s+ subscription. Then, you must bear in mind that even in this kind of subscriptions no all the monthly allowance is always downloaded. So it is difficult to know what percentage is paying istock in average, but it is not much.

Is not fair, this subs are really "image packs"

With this movemenet kill the only good thing of subs: Quantity

Adobe: 25 eur 5 subs images /month: they pay 33%- 1,66 EUR of 5 eur
Istock: 1 month, 35 eur -10 essentials images 7% ?? 0,28$(0,24 eur) for 3,5 eur

For issues like this i closed my Depositphotos account.

Well I am without doubt removing my imges of higher commercial value and better sellers, thats for sure. They're not going to lend themselves to this scam. Its become an embarrassment.

they should pay at least from 1$ to 1,75$ for each signature to be fair with whom who get the 40% and it is exclusive.
and from 2,5$ to 3,5$ for the signature+...

they like to cheat us with financial tricks as always...i'm not surprised.

On the other hand, if the costumer buy the annual plan with 100 images/month at 209 euros/month.

And if the costumer buy 100 S+ images at 2,5$ each for 250$...

Istock receive 209 euros which are about 250$ and give 100% to you.

If that happened often, they'd surely change the deal in their favour.
Whereas with this new deal, they're quids in.

I'm just saying that the percentage varies from 10% to 100% depending on the package.

I'm more afraid of the low price rather than the % I get.

I'm not happy with either the low price or the percentage. I don't like subs and never supplied anywhere which sold subs, other than Alamy's UK Newspaper Scheme.
It's just death by a thousand cuts (metaphorically).

You are right.  How can we dare to criticize iStock/Getty after all they've done and still do for us?
How ungrateful we are!

The bigger the plan, the biggest the possibility that won't be fully used. I wouldn't bet for more that 70% on average for annual plans. On the other hand the S+ subscription includes essential, S and S+ files. In my case the percentatge of S+ is beetwen 1/3 and 1/2. Note that customers don't have a way to know if a file is S or S+. They simply buy what better fill their needs.

Seriously ilbusca, don't be naive.  That 100% scenario is not happening.

I'm just saying that the OP chose the worst scenario and got 10%. I shown the best one and got 100%. Reality on average would be somewhere in the middle, probably around 35%-40%. So for some of you is even a raise in % rather than a decrease.

As i said before I'm more concerned about the low price in general.

This thread is specifically about the new monthly subs plan. It's in the title.
Do you honestly think anyone could get a percentage raise under either of the 10 subs/month plans?
The best percentage is slightly over 25%.

BTW, after two time outs, I managed to get onto the Plans and Pricing page, and the 10subs/month seems not to be available to me at the moment.

I understand that this thread is about the new plan.

What I pointed out is that, yes, this plan is disadvantageous for us but many others give us more than our "regular" royalties, in %.

Since the royalties for each download is fixed regardless of what the client paid, this is obvious.

I think that, in average, percentage subs are not paid less than regular, much probably is the opposite.

Just that.

But that was when logged in in Firefox.
I cleared all history, cache, cookies etc in IE and the 10/month subs are available.

And now it's available logged in via FF.
I guess the temporary unavailability was something to do with the problem that was causing the time outs. (maybe removing the 25% discount which was due to end at midnight on the 5th?)
SNAFU.

I think the main point you are missing is that you are comparing this new plan to other sub plans.

This new plan will replace almost all CREDIT sales, other than the tiniest of buyers who are interested in buying only one image at a time, once in a great while. (If there are any of those remaining, since most of those left when they changed to "any size, one price").

So regardless if the percentage is 10% or 40%, our RPD will plummet if this plan is rolled out worldwide.
